2010 NKBA Design Competition Winner
December 20th, 2010Design Statement: At every niche and surface, this sleek and hip showroom display shines with cutting-edge innovation, such as cabinetry in alligator grain embossed black leather. The space also brilliantly conveys its downplayed identity as a sleek bar, rather than an obvious kitchen. Some other cool features include a dishwasher concealed behind an integrated leather double drawer panel, an electric cooktop tucked under a portion of the walnut countertop, and a sink hidden from sight with a removable section of countertop. Then there’s the flip-down television, which is positioned neatly under an upper shelf with a DVD player and the controls accessible above. A waterfall streaming down a polished slab of granite into a pool of blue glass chips completes this stunning display.
